Why governing is so hard and Obama makes it harder.
President Barack Obama has a different approach to governing. First, avoid it, if at all possible. That way he can’t be proven wrong. Second, skip 60% of the intel briefings from his staff, so he can claim to be unaware of problems. (Some call it “plausible deniability”–I call it “implausible ignorance.”)
Since Obama believes he is 1) the smartest person in any room, and 2) that his opinion is always the best one, (which trumps all others), he often says that he will “listen to the proposals” of others. This is his deception of pretending to be open-minded. And he is—if the proposal aligns with what he want to do. If not, he listens and then ignores it and does what he wants.
