I have been privileged to be the Musical Director for this great group of extremely talented musicians and vocalists. We have embarked on a journey, to share what God has blessed us with. The name of our group, Direction 3:5-6 is derived from the book of Proverbs 3:5-6 where it says, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. My friend, Bassman, Leroy “JB Brown and I were looking to build a band that would spread the Word in our own unique way. With the addition of Drummer Trevalyn Rivers we were well on our way. D356 includes Vocalist & Keyboardist Anthony Browning, Vocalist Lavonne Browning, Carolyn Tyson, Lisa Smith and on Keyboard Robert Butts. I have loved to play guitar and sing r as long as I can remember. My style has been influenced by some of the truly great musicians of our time. This list includes Carlos Santana, Wes Montgomery, Stevie Wonder, Fred Hammond & Nick Colionne to mention a few. God has given me the ability to write Music & Lyrics which seem to touch the hearts and souls of those who listen! As a Gospel and Jazz Artist I cherish the opportunity to share what I’ve been give with others.     A lifelong love of music has certainly opened this Artist up to many powerful influences. Listening to Gospel Legends such as Sam Cooke, Mahalia Jackson and James Cleveland has shaped his vocal presentation style a great deal. Although Mark is a "Gospel Artist," another very strong influence to his vocal style has come from the "Love Ballad". Mark seeks to express his love for GOD with the same passions one would find in R & B Love Ballards. This sultry sound can be evidenced in his recordings of "Sweet Jesus," "Worthy," "Well Done" and " You Love Me".Mark has been blessed to have performed with four local Gospel groups dating back to the mid 1990's. The significance of this statement lies in the fact that those four groups sang three Genres of Gospel Music, ranging from Traditional to Contemporary to Quartet A-cappella. Mark was asked to perform with these groups not only because of his "Vocal Style" and ability, which is quite diverse, but more importantly because of his commitment to spreading the "Message" that "Gospel Music" gives to the listener no matter how it is presented.Under the Pastorship of Reverend George Holland of Green Grove Baptist Church of Berlin, New Jersey, Mark has certainly grown Spiritually and Musically. Over the past nine years, his desire to pass on "The Message" of GOD's Love to the masses has increased tremendously. Hi everyone my name is Dean Thomas Sr. I have a sponsor child called Dhana Kumari, she is 6 years old, weighs 30 pounds, she loves Jesus and is a very good student in school. I sponsor Dhana's basic food and care needs and send her small toys on occasion. My effort is part of the ONE child at a time program,that is being given through the love of our LORD Jesus, at The Grace Childrens Orphanage. The Indian Goverment is very poor and has no mechanisim in place to protect these precious children of GOD. Many thousands of children are currently suffering from poverty, have no homes, or food and are being turned away to wander and search for help in their troubles, with very little chance of ever having a successful and happy childhood, some must beg for food and sleep where ever they may find a warm place and this includes very small children as well. For this reason I support Dhana, the Grace Childrens Orphanage and Brother Emmanuel Nathala at the Pay-Pal link below, a donation as small as ONE dollar would be appreciated, I have been in contact with them for a long time and Brother Emmanuel Nathala is provding care and nurturing to all the children that he can possibly take care of with the small resource's he has available, but there are many more who desperatly need help. The basic care of a child is $25.00 dollars per month and provides them with basic food, clothing and school needs. I beg you if you find me here please help these children as if you dont no ONE will, Our Lord Jesus has said that ONE of the most basic things to do is help the poor and love your brothers and sisters. And it does not cost much money to make a child happy just Look at the smile on Dhana when she recieved some small toys from us. As I said a donation of ONE dollar will be apprciated, we all have resource to reach out and make a difference in ONE childs life, their basic care doesnt even cost as much as four resturant meal. Jim doesnt seem to smile much as he may be uncertain of his future,to me this is not acceptable, help me put a smile on Jim's face by letting him know someONe cares and by providing his basic care needs.It is a small thing for you to do, and the ONe thing that will make you the happiest of all. Every day I can look and see the smile on Dhana's face and know that she knows someONe cares enough to help her with basic needs.
For the school itself some of the things I wish them to have is two cooking ranges to prepare meals on, this is currently being accomplihed on wood fires,regular milk and cookies for the children, school supplies and the larger percentage of the children have no powders to wash thier clothing in plus there are many more needed items to speak of.If anyONE can help me find these things for them i would be eternally grateful.
