On Saturday, April 24 at 9 a.m., Michelle will interview Siobhan Quinn and Michael Bowers and also talk about their upcoming SAW showcase show at the Athenaeum on April 25. Siobhan and Michael's first recording together, “Dreamers, Lovers & Outlaws” was co-produced by Tom Prasada Rao and was nominated for a WAMMIE for Best Contemporary Folk CD. They have also been nominated for WAMMIES for Best Contemporary Folk Duo/Group. Siobhán is also a 2007 WAMMIE WINNER for Best Traditional Folk Vocalist. Both artists have individual reputations earned from five collective recordings, national touring and radio play reaching international levels prior to their partnership. But their collaboration brings out the best in each. The duo has been awarded spots at the prestigious Kerrville New Folk Competition and Falcon Ridge Emerging Artist Showcase along with multiple regional, national and international main stage showcases stretching nearly to 2009. Their songs have staying power and they continue to write as they prepare for their next release. For more info, visit their site: www.dreamersloversandoutlaws.com
