Bad Hygiene can be bad breath or body odor. How do you approach someone without making them feel bad? Tune in as we discuss ways to help you and them.heres what you can do...

1.if you are young and in school, let your health teacher know about the issue.

2.Consider trying the following tip. For Christmas or the person's birthday, get them some nice smelling shampoo and soap. If it is a girl, you could even get her a nail grooming kit.

3.Keep in mind that, if none of this works and everything has failed, you need to tell the person yourself. This can seem difficult, but think of it this way: if you smelled, wouldn't you want somebody to let you know?

  • Realize that they have feelings and it would be very cruel to say it out loud and it would be quite rude, too. Also, realize that if this person is very lazy it might not work no matter how hard you try to hint.
  • Letter Example:Dear So-and-so,I feel that you have a slight problem that is getting in the way of our friendship. You might not realize this, but you have a problem with your hygiene. If it has to do with a religion or practice, I am not informed of any sort. I have some ideas you could use for improvement. You could use a nice smelling shampoo or soap. If it is a skin problem you face, talk to your doctor. You could try to wash your clothes more thoroughly or even a prescription deodorant. Remember, I am not trying to hurt your feelings or harm you. I tell you this because I don't want you to get hurt by others who feed on weakness. Please try to improve, as it would be beneficial to me and you. Thank you.
  • Tell this person nicely.
  • If this person is rude, mean, or inconsiderate, just tell them up front or don't tell them at all because in the long run they are the ones hurting--they don't need to hurt you.
