Call in to speak with the host

Chuck Gregory and Mike Palecek welcome community leader / writer Susan Clark and publisher Sam Smith.

  • Susan Clark, author of Slow Democracy, will talk about how "true democracy is slow, inclusive, deliberative, empowered, and, most of all, local." Her book is about citizens making a difference, breathing new life into local democracy.
  • Sam Smith talked last time about how the most important part of a third party campaign such as that of Jill Stein and the Green Party is what happens after the election. He'll discuss how we can make a difference by working at the local level.

Kind of a theme here, don't you think? The election is over; it took a lot of our time and attention over the last few months. Whether or not that attention was warranted, the process of selection is complete, and it's time for all of us to switch into a new gear. What can we do now to make a better America and a better world?

As always, we'll have fun bits and The News from Mount Liberty.
