Hunter McIntyre- The Sheriff of Obstacle Course Racing

Obstacle course racing “Spartan Racing” is the fastest growing professional sport in the country. Hunter Mcintyre is the leading Reebok elite athlete on the Spartan Race circuit. Hunter, who to refers to himself as “The Sheriff” shares his story.

Spartan racing was the brain child of Joe De Sena, arguably one of the toughest extreme athletes in the world and founder of the original “Death Race”.  Spartan Racing is edgy, running through fire, wading through freezing water, being electrocuted, climbing through mud pools and over walls from anywhere  between 3-14 miles and up to 25 obstacles that you don’t get a chance to prepare for. Suffice to say, these races are challenging and there lies the appeal.  Hunter was born to compete in these events and since 2012; he has never finished off of the podium.  If you enjoy human gritty competition, Spartan racing is for you.
