Decathlon, a very complex sport, join us as I interview, Olympic Decathlete Mark Jellison as we discuss his training, what it takes to compete in 10 events over 2 days and what it’s like to be a super human sprinter, jumper, thrower and endurance athlete!

It’s Complicated… we mere mortals have enough to think about when we set out to prepare for a single event, say a 10k, or even a marathon. Think what it would be like if you had to get yourself ready to compete in 10 different events held over 2 consecutive days? Having the need to be powerful, yet enduring, agile, fleet of feet, strong enough to launch yourself over 15 feet into space. Have the ability to hurl a Javelin 174 feet! Run the hundred in 51 seconds… need I say more? It is complicated.
