The Light Show

The Light Show provides an opportunity for people and their organizations to present the good news of their intentions and activities, and build awareness of the new paradigm that is emerging locally around the world. We invite especially women who are listening to an inner call to gather for authentic conversation, the foundational element for the new world that we all seek to co-create. Organizations participating in building a better world are invited to present what is most current for them, and to invite their memberships into deep conversation.

Crossing the boundary between public and private spaces - April 7, 2009 Show

Teresa and I were exploring some logistics, and voila! the count-down to the start of the show began.  Immediately, our private conversation became public.  As we explored this interface, Bonnie came on with a comment on the Chat Room, saying she was grumpy and that she would keep kind of quiet.

Thus, began our conversation on sharing whatever is up, including the quality of where we are as we enter a public space.  In some sense this is an important element in a true communication because we are always colored by what has gone before.  Imagine if we all checked in with the truth of our feeling state before we spoke.  Everyone would know what kind of energy we were bringing to the conversation, be sensitive as we shifted gears, and even hold out their hand to appreciate and include.

As Bonnie shared her grump and we invited her own understanding to come forward, together a greater clarity was achieved.  We could also see that our comments about public and private distinctions had circled round synchronistically to a focus on authenticity, and the power of feelings expressed and received to shift our understandings of ourselves and others.
