The Light Show  

On this last show of 2008, having done 4 months of shows, Teresa, Bonnie and I discussed our process of "checking in", as sharing both context and authentic impulse to share.  The more we know about someone and the more real we are with each other, the more we come alive.

This aliveness seems critical now as we notice around us the pain of those close to us, dealing with the crises of the moment.  There is such a need for real community to hold one another (being expressed now as greater use of dating services such as eharmony, and more social networking around ideals such as ipeace).  But we need to hold one another as alive Beingness, to build cultures of this new life together, to have conversations from the deepest parts of ourselves.

Why is it important to be truly alive and real in what we say and do together?  Because it is the frequency of life that will bring us through the deadened institutions that are collapsing around us, and through the meaningless clutter of things that have substituted for life.

What we have been doing in the Conversation Campaign all these months is conversation as though our lives depend on it, and what we are suddenly realizing is that our lives DO depend on it.  The quality of aliveness is being confirmed in every show where our intention is to be "heartened", to be real.  For as we engage in REAL conversation, as we engage our passions to do this show and learn from guests and each other, we are staying maximally alive, thriving, emanating life.  This is exactly what the world needs now... emanations of life itself.

Realizing this, we deeply, joyfully, and playfully commit to more living conversations in the new year, and to assembling our conversations into a Thrival Manual for another level of emanation out into the world.  And so it is!  And a happy alive New Year to us all!!
