This guided meditation supplements earlier guided meditations for developing the pefection of patience--the Bodhisattva attainment that has overcome the disposition to become angry. In this guided meditation, we will work on developing two beliefs: that we can overcome anger and that we should overcome anger. We know that we can overcome anger, because Bodhisattvas and Buddhas before us have done this, and they are only different from us as a result of haivng trained their minds to overcome anger, whereas we have not yet accomplished this. We will do analytic meditation on some of the negative consequences of anger to help us become convinced that anger should be eliminated from our minds.
