What would you be concerned about if you had five kids? Eight kids? Entrepreneurs and dads, (between them), of thirteen kids, Jeff Eusebio and Bob Masterson were, understandably, thinking a lot about managing money. Not just managing their money, but teaching their children how to effectively handle money. They, like all of us, saw the results all around them of lack of knowledge and skill in this area: adults in their late twenties and thirties still living at home, college students with massive credit card debt, college graduates leaving school with $50, $60, or even $100 thousand dollars in loans due and no high-paying job in sight. Everywhere they looked there were examples, and casualties, of lack of financial literacy. Understandably, they couldn't afford to have this happen to their children. Frustrated with the existing offerings in the marketplace that claimed they would allow parents to help their children manage their own money, Jeff knew that online technology was ready and the time was right to solve this ongoing frustration for parents in a fun, easy way that kids love. He used his 17 years of IT experience, and his co-founder Bob's 18 years of experience in product development, to create FamilyMint, an online solution which every family with a computer could access. Join us tonight as executive coach, Lisa Pasbjerg interviews Jeff and Bob about their road to entrepreneurship, lessons learned, funding found and the launch of a successful and valuable company.
