Call in to speak with the host
Today Laura Theodore, the Jazzy Vegetarian welcomes recording artist, producer, director and choreographer James Rocco, who shares a fabulous Ginger Sweet Potato recipe! We'll hear 2 songs from his festive new holiday CD, Cold Enough 4 U?. In addition, we’ll chat with Taja Sevelle who launched the Urban Farming Global Food Chain and inspired homeowners to grow gardens of their own. James Rocco’s recent CD, It’s Between Us, has received rave reviews and his new Holiday CD is just out. Rocco is responsible for producing, presenting and booking Theatrical Programming at Ordway Center for the Performing Arts. James has participated as a producing partner on “Legally Blonde, The Color Purple, Curtains and Edward Scissorhands.” Mr. Rocco is a member of SDC, AEA, ASCAP, The Broadway League, and the Independent Producers’ Network. Singer-songwriter Taja Sevelle launched the Urban Farming Global Food Chain and inspired homeowners to grow gardens of their own. Taja made a name for herself in the late ’80s with her first single, “Love Is Contagious,” but it wasn’t until she flew into Detroit to cut a record in 1998 that she realized her true calling. Taja launched Urban Farming with $5,000 of her own money and inspired homeowners to grow gardens of their own.
It's good to talk.
