Host Laura Theodore, the Jazzy Vegetarian, chats with Melody Caraballo who is founder of Foodgazi, which specializes in plant-based cooking classes and catering. I’ll also chat with Susan Natoli, co-founder of Susan and Veronica, a company that designs stylish contemporary aprons. We’ll share easy vegan recipes for home cooked meals and tips on how to be stylish while you are in the kitchen! Melody Caraballo began Foodgazi in 2010 by teaching vegan cooking classes in Cleveland, Ohio. Propelled by the belief that if people are to eat more fruits and vegetables, they need to learn the skills necessary to make that happen in their daily lives. In 2011, Liz Vondrak joined Foodgazi to help expand services to include catering. Melody’s food philosophies are: local, organic and plant-based. Susan Natoli has always had a flair for fashion. Raised in upstate New York, she started designing her own imaginative rock star clothes at 10 years old. In 1996, she went on to a flourishing career at MTV, and soon brought her fun and fabulous sensibility to her own handbag collection. Her handbags were featured in national magazines and were a favorite of the trend-setting Hollywood crowd. In 2007, Susan put aside handbags to join forces with Veronica (her best friend from MTV) to collaborate on a new line of fashionista aprons. Susan believes we are products of a generation of female empowerment, self-confidence and independence.
