Today I welcome Susie Coston, Farm Sanctuary's national shelter director, to discuss the new video series “Sanctuary Tails, Reel Life at Farm Sanctuary.” These beautiful v-logs follow the activities of the shelter staff and animal residents as they carry out their daily routines. We’ll also chat with Agatha Achindu, CEO of Yummy Spoonfuls, about organic Baby Food. Susie Coston joined the Farm Sanctuary in March 2000. In the six years prior to coming to Farm Sanctuary, she worked for a veterinarian and at a sanctuary in West Virginia. Before that, she earned a master's degree in special education and worked with kids with disabilities. As a committed farm animal caregiver for more than a decade, Susie has been a mentor for many of her peers and is well-known for bringing the animals' stories of love, loss and life to the public. Currently, she oversees a full department of caregivers, feeders, cleaners, and project workers at the New York Shelter, ensuring that hundreds of animals are given the best possible care at every stage of their lives. Agatha Achindu is CEO & Chief Yummy Officer for Yummy Spoonfuls a company that manufactures nutritious organic baby food that tastes good to even the most finicky baby. To date the company has over 24 diverse offerings in its Creamy Yummy, Mushy Yummy, and Chunky Yummy stages and offers traditional foods like puréed carrots, pears, peas, and broccoli. In January 2009 Yummy Spoonfuls was rated #1 Baby Food: “Best Taste, Best Overall, Five Stars,” in a Cookie Magazine readers’ panel. Achindu has been featured in numerous publications and is frequently interviewed on the importance of educating moms on developing proper eating habits for their children.
