Join the Jazzy Vegetarian, as she welcomes producer, director and choreographer James Rocco for a lively chat about music, theatre and fabulous vegetarian food! We'll also welcome Katherine Freedman, the "College Gourmet," for an in depth vegan restaurant review! James Rocco, has participated as a producing partner on “Legally Blonde, The Color Purple, Curtains and Edward Scissorhands.” He is responsible for producing, presenting and booking Theatrical Programming at Ordway Center for the Performing Arts. Mr. Rocco was the Executive Producer and Co-Director of the Regional Emmy Nominated Documentary, “The World We Create” and Directed the Television and Video Musical, “Born of A Dream.” He produced and directed “Broadway Sings for the Heartland,” the first benefit to support victims of the Oklahoma City bombing. “Broadway Sings” starred Ed Harris, Sandy Duncan, Ben Vereen and 100 theatre stars from around the country. Rocco is a member of SDC, AEA, ASCAP, The Broadway League, National Alliance for Musical Theatre Producers and the Independent Producers’ Network. He recently moonlighted as a consultant for DreamWorks Theatricals. Katherine Freedman, a rising sophomore at Barnard College, Columbia University, writes for the Food and Drink section of the The Columbia Daily Spectator. Her past journalism experience includes an internship on The Houston Chronicle, where she had a regular teen advice column. She won the Houston Chronicle 2009 Student Journalist of the Year award.
