Why do we do the things we do?  An important question no doubt.  In today's episode we will take in the big picture and this big question.

Collectively we set the standards of living for ourselves, ultimately other than natural law, the conditions we share as people are self-imposed.  We work for our livings, (most of us), seek status, comfort, acceptance, freedom and certain "rights".  The desires amongst people seem to be pretty parallel at a fundamental level, yet continously we see unfortunate situations and relationships played throughout history and in various parts of the world.

So the question is why?  The easy answer is that "They" want it this way.  Whoever "They" are.  I personally find no satisfaction in that answer. Really it's an excuse that takes a  small amount of responsibility taken off your shoulders, only to be returned with interest later.  That being said, it's not as though each individual is personally responsible for redeeming every transgression ever, but we are responsible for our perspective of the world and our responses to it.

So . . . what can be done about out our situations and motivations? And my favorite, "How can we enjoy doing it?"

If you, like me, have pondered the what's and why's of the world, then we can talk about the fun part.  Which is creating alternatives.  Embracing the chance to recreate our personal and shared realities leads to an amazing revolution in human life. So join me as I get into a bit about why we do the things we do, and how we can satisfy those "whys" in a more expansive, honest, and fulfilling way.  It's the journey of a lifetime!  Join me won't you? At The Intended Life
