Tonight we'll hear from Will Kurth (R), candidate for Sheriff in Bernalillo County, New Mexico. Will has a 27-year record of public service and has worked as a Police Officer, Police Supervisor and a Command-Level Police Officer. Since 1982 Will has enjoyed providing public safety to the citizens of Albuquerque and Bernalillo County. He has also served as a Sworn Albuquerque Police Department Officer, a Bernalillo County Sheriff's Deputy, and a U.S. Custom’s Officer, with recognition in both state and federal court as a law enforcement expert. After the 9/11 attacks, the government recruited Will to provide training and expertise on domestic security. He has worked with federal agents, U.S. Marshals, various branches of the U.S. military, and state and local law enforcement agencies all across the nation. Will Kurth is also a supporter of the "Castle Doctrine" and believes in citizens rights to defend themselves and others, rather than having to retreat from criminal activity or live in fear of civil litigation when defending themselves. Will intends to push for New Mexico to be added to the growing number of states that recognize this most fundamental of American principles, a citizen's right to self defense. With this in mind, as sheriff, he'll also work with the Department of Homeland Security and use every resource, including immigration status to remove Narco-Terrorists that cross the border to engage in criminal behavior. Will intends to send a clear message that Bernalillo County of New Mexico is not a sanctuary for any type of criminal activity or for those that would do our nation harm. As Arizona's bordering neighbor, this is a hot discussion you won't want to miss to get insight directly from a renowned law enforcement representative seeking to lead Bernalillo County.
