Good show, guys, but I wonder why you didn't use more controversial verses such as 4:34 (permission to beat wives) or 4:89 (take no non-muslim helpers and slay them wherever you find them) or even 5:33 (punishment for mischief)? Also, your second guest quoted Yusufali when complaining about the incorrect verse (24:54), yet all of his other interpretations contradicted the Yusufali translation... So... Yusufali is accurate when it suits him? Also, I wish you had challenged your guests about the

The second form of the verb (to marry off) can be found in 24:32 and 28:27.
ONLY ONE Classical Arabic Grammarian suggests Nikaha means as the arabic speaker perversely mentions 'the F word'...Ibn Faris al-Qazwini's Mujmal al-lughah ...the rest of the Classical Arabic grammarians state and confirm that Nikaha means marriage!...The verbs Nakaha and Ankaha have the same imperative form Ankuhu - This is the plural form-. The first form of the verb Nakaha (to marry) can be found in many verses: 2:221, 2:230, 4:22, 24:3, 33:49, 33:53, 60:10. The second form of the verb (to ma

Ibn Faris al-Qazwini's Mujmal al-lughah d. 390/395 and Taj El-'Aroos by Al-Zubaidi d. 1791 are the ONLY references to signify Nikaha as intercourse; intercourse without marriage and/or marriage WITHOUT intercourse...Lisan El Arab Ibn Mukarram d.711 Inkihini for legal ; Saw'fihini for illegal

Mohammed Ibn At-Teiyib Al-Fasee author of ‘Annotations on the Kamoos’ refers to Nakaha as marriage of a Man, and confirms its use in the Quran...Al -Jowharee d. 398 author of ‘Sihah’ and Taj El-'Aroos by Al-Zubaidi d. 1791/1205 also define Nakaha as reference to a Man in marriage...Al Mawid Nikaha means Marriage, Matrimony, Wedlock...Dictionary of the Holy Quran Nikaha means He married, marriage or contract...Lanes Lexicon Part 8 page 2847 - 2848 Marriage

The arabic speaker in his perverted thinking suggested Nikhaha means 'the F word'...the arabic speaker is ignorant.... BEFORE Islam When a Man demanded a Women in marriage or desired fornication he would say 'Inkihini' for legal or 'Saw'fihini' for illegal; inkihoo (nun is eliminated) means marry, get married:Nakaha : to marry Ankaha : to marry off Istankaha : to ask/seek for marriage.

Thus, Ayesha (ra), if she got married in 1 AH (after hijrah) or 2 AH, was between 18 to 20 years old at the time of her marriage to Muhammed.
6/1/2009 3:04 AM UTC
The arabic speakers OWN REFERENCE Ibn Kathir, states Asma, the elder sister of Ayesha was 10 years older than Ayesha! Its also stated in the following TAQREEB AL-TEHZEEB AS WELL AS AL-BIDAAYAH WA AL-NIHAYAH that Asma (ra) died in 73 hijrah when she was 100 years old. Now, obviously if Asma (ra) was 100 years old in 73 hijrah she should have been 27 or 28 years old at the time of hijrah. If Asma (ra) was 27 or 28 years old at the time of hijrah, Asma was 10 years older than Ayesha. AYESHA (RA) S

In regards to the age of Ayesha....as illustrated in the discussion.... She [i.e. Asma] was ten years elder to her sister [i.e. Ayesha]. The Prophet was NOT a Pedophile, as I made clear in the discussion, those hadiths from Iraq are NOT acceptable and deemed slanderous. I have been told that Malik [ibn Anas] objected on those narratives of Hisham which were reported through people of Iraq. Yaqub ibn Shaibah says: He [i.e. Hisham] is highly reliable, his narratives are acceptable, EXCEPT what he narrated after shifting to Iraq.(Tehzeeb al-Tehzeeb, Ibn Hajar Al-`Asqalaaniy, Arabic, Dar Ihya al-turath al-Islami, Vol. 11, pg. 50) I have been told that Malik [ibn Anas] objected on those narratives of Hisham which were reported through people of Iraq. Actually, Lithium would not have been my choice. Small glass of cold water sufficed. @Michael your 'inner city' reference shows your ignorance. Just because someone 'speaks' arabic dialect, does NOT suggest they know the Quran, as the Arabic speaking guest illustrated. EACH and EVERY reference and response he made was from a satirical 'story'. He was asked several times to define the arabic term in the verse that supported his 'story', the arabic speaking guest refused. The Arabic of Quran is
