About Ruben J Guzman

Ruben is the author of a new book entitled “Evolving Health! Maximize your energy using the wisdom of science and divine design.”

Ruben was given a profound gift related to health over 30 years ago in 1981. But like most gifts we are given, he wasn’t ready to accept it fully at the time. In 1990, Ruben ruptured his Achilles tendon while playing basketball and was told he would never play again. Devastated, Ruben became depressed and gained weight. In 1995, he began to use the gift he had been given years earlier and began his personal transformation. Within a year, he lost over 50 pounds and has been healthy and fit ever since. Statistics show that 95% of the people who lose more than 50 pounds regain their weight within two years or less. And, less than one percent have kept it off for more than ten years. Ruben is one of those success stories. But, more importantly, he was inspired to bring his message of health, energy and vitality to the world and he has empowered hundreds to do the same for themselves.

Ruben holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from UCLA, specializing in Behavioral Sciences and Health Promotion. Prior to that, he attended the UC Davis School of Medicine for three years and chose to not return to medical school because of his commitment to empowering people to be healthy rather than treating disease with medications and surgery.

His book has also been endorsed by one of the giants in the world of nutritional medicine, Dr. Neal Barnard, president of the Physician’s Committee for Responsible Medicine, and author of 13 books.
