When women carry the emotional pain of rejection, abandonment and abuse, into adulthood, it is like a disease that spreads to their unborn children. Upon conception, our vibrations shape the life that is developing within us, and when we have unhealed emotional wounds, we are passing that sense of brokenness onto our unborn child. We cannot properly love someone else until we love ourselves. Self love is difficult when painful childhood memories misshape our concept of who we are and whether we are even worthy of love. The unconscious ways we pass on pain as women can often be seen in the angry, non affectionate way we treat our children. The men in our lives complain that we are angry for no reason they can understand, and they are eventually driven away by our cutting words. We must get to the root of our anger. We must trace it, face it, erase it, and replace it with love. Michigan activist and spoken word artist Nae-Ankh discusses the ways women can begin the process of healing, so that they can be loving mates to the men in their lives and loving mothers to their children.
