Hospitals, particularly those with trauma centers, are critical to the survival of people who have experienced lifel threatening wounds, whether through auto accidents, gun violence, or event natural disasters. Roseland Community Hospital, located on the South Side of Chicago, serves a high crime area where residents depend upon this facility to save lives in a crisis.  The Governor of Illinois has refused to allocate the necessary $7 million dollars to keep the hospital functioning, and so far 68 staff people have been laid off. Hospital CEO Dian Powell explains the critical need for Roseland Hospital and what community residents can do to win the fight to keep this hospital open.
