Itching Ears

2 Timothy 4:2,3 "For the time is coming when people will not have patience for sound teaching but will cater to their passions and gather around themselves teachers who say whatever their ears itch to hear. Yes, they will stop listening to the truth, but will turn aside to follow myths." (Jewish Bible Translation)

People of God we are in that time now. I was in prayer most of the day yesterday and it's alot of things that the Lord begin to speak to me. This subject God dealt with me the longest on. There are many in the body of Christ who don't have a love for truth. Being that they don't have a love for truth they rather believe a lie that's presented as the truth. Let me tell you something, GOD IS NOT ALWAYS GOING TO TELL YOU WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR. If He did He wouldn't be a true father. A real father discipines His child but it's to make that child a better person. Some of us recieve words from God that we don't want to hear. We don't want to hear that we are prideful, arrogant, boastful, backbiters, controling, liars, decievers, double minded, wishy washy, unwise, unlearned, ungodly, disobedient, rebellious, unstable, complacent, unequally yoked, slanderers, greedy, money lovers, fornicators, cheaters, religious, and whatever else is left to say.
We want to hear words like, you gone get your car, you gone be healed, a million dallors is going to be in your account in 30 days if you send me $100. We want to hear all good stuff without dealing with the sin in our lives. Some stuff we like to hold on to but still want God to say that He's pleased with you and everything will be alright tomorrow. Some people rather hold on to their demons instead of pursuing their deliverance. It's really sad. Beware of those prophets who always got something good to say. It's a good chance that they have no love for truth either and they desire to scratch your itching ears because of what they want from you.
TBN is a perfect example of this. I know this is some of yall favorite so called christian network but I must speak the truth on this matter. Just about every telethon and program they have caters to what the people want to hear so that they can sow in that ministry. No one talks about judgement or things to come. Don't get me wrong, I'm a strong believer in prosperity (which is not just money), but remember what I told you earlier, to beware of those prophets who ALWAYS have something good to say. I'm not hating on what they are doing at all. I respect the outreach that they do but God is exposing those who like to cater to what people want to hear and not what they need to hear. The truth is the truth and it's time to walk in it and expose the lies of the enemy. Most of the preachers on tv are not the ones that God wants up there. God is shifting that as well and we are going to begin to see new faces on our christian network stations. Some of these networks we see now are getting ready to come down and some of the preacher with it. It's because of God's judgement.
People of God don't recieve just what you want to hear according to your own will and say that it's not the word of the Lord. Stop rejecting the word of the Lord. If you only recieve part of it then you basically rejected to whole thing because God don't do things half way and He don't half step. You have to recieve it all so that the word can work for you. You can't recieve what you want to hear and reject what you don't want to hear. That's dangerous regardless of the nature of the word. Be very careful of that. God had me to share some things that He put in my spirit because many in the body of Christ have itching ears and most of them have missed their season because they rejected the word of the Lord. We don't have time to waste doing our own will and saying that it's God. STOP TRYING TO MAKE YOUR WILL GOD'S WILL, IT SHOULD BE THE OTHER WAY AROUND.
We got to straighten up people of God because judgement is already hear and it comes to make a distintion between those who are His from those who are not His.
