The Broke Wives Club  

Good Evening,

When I realized that there was yet another blog I could talk about The Broke Wives' Club on, I jumped right on it and for those of you reading this who have not yet visited my website thebrokewivesclub.com.  I won't go into everything in this blog, because I want you to visit the site to learn more about my mission and goals to help women go "From BROKE to STOKED!"

Many of my critics have put down the name, The Broke Wives' Club, because they say it creates a stigma of keeping women down and not making them feel good about themselves because I am labeling them as broke.  Let me tell you something...I have been broke in more ways than financially.  I have been broke in spirit and broke physically where I have not wanted to even get out of bed.

I founded The Broke Wives' Club at a time when I felt hopeless and helpless.  I was at the end of my rope after suffering financial disaster after disaster, a husband who became temporarily disabled and a search for a job after 15 years of being in the home taking care of my 7 children.  I learned with the help of several inspirational speakers and motivators that took me under their wings, that I could climb out of the deep, dark abyss, I found myself in and take control of my life both temporally and spiritually.  Through this journey of self discovery which I might add I am still on...I like to call myself "a work in progress," I learned there were so many women in the same position that I found myself in and they were just trying to find a way to stay afloat in the sea of madness and despair.  Where could we turn and what could we do? What was out there for someone that doesn't know where to find understanding, compassion and the strength to face the obstacles and trials that will and do occur in our lives?  The Broke Wives' Club is designed and is a work in progress just like we are.  It will grow with us and when we find what we need, we will pay it forward and help someone else. 

In closing, it is my hope and vision to create the opportunity for women to get a shift in their attitude, hence the name of my radio show, "THE ATTITUDE SHIFT!"  Every Wednesday I will bring you someone who has made the change in their life and would like to pass it on to us.  So far I have been blessed beyond measure to bring some of the most influential people in my life to you.  From The Toilet Paper Entrepreneur, MSN Money columnist Donna Freedman and Joyce Welsh founder of remodelingyourlife.com.  I have been schooled and have the opportunity to continue my education on and off air and that is what I want to bring to women all over the world.

I will blog often and in the meantime, catch up on my life on my blog at the brokewivesclub.com.  I keep it real.
