"Sisters" - Imagine that the women in your life are under attack by breast cancer, and then imagine you, the caretaker, are the grandson and son of two of those women. My guest, Bradley Candie, tells his compelling and touching story about his experience with his grandmother, mother and two aunts, each of whom are in the battle for their very lives. Bradley Candie is no stranger to the Atlanta music community. Bradley is a 1992 graduate of Morehouse College where he earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Psychology. After graduating from Morehouse College, Bradley attended Howard University where he earned a Masters of Education degree in Counseling Psychology. Upon graduating, Bradley performed overseas with the Das Capital Theatre in Mannheim, Germany. After returning to the states, Bradley was blessed with the opportunity to perform with the Atlanta Opera during their European tour of Porgy and Bess and in such Broadway musical hits as Smokey Joe’s Café with the Atlanta Lyric Theatre and Once on This Island and Kiss Me Kate with the Auroura Theatre. He has performed on such renowned stages as the Kennedy Center, the Philadelphia Academy of Music, and Carnegie Hall. Also, he has performed under the baton of Robert Shaw with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Chorus. Bradley recently made his debut with Ballethnic Dance Company in their production of Urban Nutcracker and Leopard’s Tale.
