Besides this, he has accompanied and recorded with some of the greatest legends: Sonny Rollins, Cybil Shepherd, Chaka Khan, Harry Belafonte as well as being the exclusive bassist for 'Lion King', 'Dream Girls', and Angie Stone.
His distinctive passion and love for creating ingenious sound not only regals his audience, but has taken him up the staircase of success for over three decades!
Appointed by the U.S.State Department to perform as an Ambassador of Goodwill to Eight West African Nations., and now the author of Proverbrs 31: The Virtuous Black Woman , Russel Blake has proven repeatedly that he is a pioneer in more ways than one.
