Joyce Lauck, MBA, Executive Director of AGE of Central Texas, shares the background on how AGE came to be AGE of Central Texas is a regional nonprofit organization that provides education and support to people all along the spectrum of growing older, no matter where they are on that journey. Many of their services are free or low-cost, and AGE has a special concern for providing services to the poor. Each year, AGE serves more than 3,000 older adults and caregivers through its primary interrelated programs:

  • adult day health care
  • caregiver education and resources
  • early memory loss support
  • health equipment lending
  • and peer-based computer classes for seniors.

Joyce Lauck is a community leader and expert on aging issues in Texas, and she brings 20 years of business expertise gained in management roles with the H.E.B. Grocery Corporation. Joyce has served on the boards of the YWCA, the Capital Area Food Bank, past chair of the Aging Services Council of Central Texas, and she serves on the Aging Advisory Council for Area Agency on Aging. Currently Joyce holds leadership positions with the Adult Day Care Association of Texas and One Voice. She earned her Bachelor of Science from The State University of New York at Brockport and her Master of Business Administration from St. Edwards University. Joyce has been leading AGE of Central Texas since 2000.
