The mission of the Sports Legacy Institute is to advance the study, treatment and prevention of the effects of brain trauma in athletes and other at-risk groups. Caitlin McElroy, Field Associate, joins us along with Chicago injury and health law attorney, Michael Favia, to talk about the education and outreach objectives and activities held by the Sports Legacy Institute in Chicago.

Caitlin McElroy joined the SLI team in January 2013 as a Field Associate in Chicago. Caitlin comes from a non-profit background having worked previously for the American Cancer Society (ACS) in fundraising and development. In 2009, Caitlin graduated from DePaul University with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Secondary Education. Caitlin earned her Master’s in Public Policy in May 2013 at the Loyola University of Chicago.
