Hugo Chavez to Barack Hussein Obama: Come Out of the Closet

"He is a narcissist who thinks he is the only one who can solve the country's problems, this is false.”$0To whom is the law professor quoted above referring? It is a statement that could accurately apply to any number of messianic demagogues, of course, so if you think he is talking about our Dear Leader, the man-god, America’s first AA (Affirmative Action) occupant of the Oval Office, you can be forgiven, but you would be wrong. No, this quote is from a McClatchey report about Hugo Chavez’ successful attempt to make himself a dictator for life.  $0$0$0$0$0Here’s more: Chavez was elected president in 1998 in the midst of an economic downturn, and has worked tirelessly to demonize Venezuela's traditional ruling elite while showering billions of dollars on programs for the poor.MMM …Does that sound familiar? He’s succeeded in halving poverty in Venezuela during his 10 years in office.Pedro Siolo, a 41-year-old taxi driver, said he voted for Chavez's proposal on Sunday because the government gave him an apartment for free and lent him $25,000 at low interest rates to buy a taxi."Chavez is doing a good job," Siolo said.“Free” housing, as in houses for people who can’t and never could afford them for members of Chavez mascot groups. That sounds like something the “responsible homeowners” Barack Hussein wants to subsidize could get behind.So-called "missions," often taught by Cuban teachers, allow adults to get high school and college degrees for free.An entitlement to a “free” college education, paid for by the bountiful government. Check. Another plank from the Obama platform.Another popular program provides free health care by Cuban doctors for the poor.Dayana Ramirez, a 19-year-old studying business at a government institute, said her father was operated on for free under this program. I wonder how long he had to wait for that “free” procedure. I also wonder about the quality of that “business” education at the government institute. It would be interesting to see how commies teach about capitalism. On second thought, I suppose I could just visit an Ivy League B school to get the answer.Yet another program sells packaged goods below cost in poor neighborhoods.Erica Zapata said she saves 40 percent when she makes her monthly trip to the subsidized market. And she never wonders who is really paying for her groceries because she knows. Her hero Hugo Chavez!$0$0$0$0Gee, now I understand why the Obama administration congratulated Hugo on his great victory in the “dictator for life” referendum last month. These two are so perfectly matched, like two identical pinko peas in a red pod, that if they signed up for E-Harmony, they’d be hooked up in a New York minute! Reading further in the McClatchey article, I see another similarity. In this deeply polarized country, the climate of fear was evident in the answer of Nestor Moreno, a 58-year-old construction worker, when he was asked how he’d voted."I voted yes because I didn't want to face reprisals for voting no," said Moreno. "People lose jobs because they don't agree with the Chavez regime."Chavez is very authoritarian," Moreno said. "He needs to be more democratic. Things have to be done his way or the highway."$0$0$0$0$0Now Hugo urges his kindred spirit to take off the mask, which covers up his socialism about as well as a stripper’s pasties cover up her, um, curves, to come out of the closet and just admit it. I agree. C’mon, Barack. True it would be as much of a revelation as the stunning report that you are dependent on your TelePrompTer, but it would help fulfill your promise to be “transparent.$0$0
