As the people of Newton, CT grieve for the victims of the Sandy Hill School murders, they must contend with the plague of pompous, parasitic pant loads, hoping to exploit this unimaginable horror to advance their own personal agendas, including later today, Obama.
This event gave the Jurassic media the opportunity to fire up their somber montage machines, with their inevitable achingly-sad solo piano soundtracks, and to descend on Newtown, CT to use it as a backdrop for their silly stand ups. Maybe it's just me, but I think that, once again, our media friends are enjoying this event a bit too much. To what extent does the orgy of media coverage contribute to the chance of more of these incidents?
This tragedy provides a perfect set of circumstances for the Left to advance several of its treasured agenda items. The occasion of another "troubled" young man, presents the opportunity for proponents of big government, and the always destructive, reactive "just do something" mentality to press for not only the obvious, that is, infringements on our 2nd amendment rights, but also for more government "programs" to assist the mentally-ill. No matter that this shooter's family apparently has the resources to provide the help he obviously needed. His case is useful to the Left, as the press for more government, and, as we have often noted, they never let a crisis go to waste. The reality is that a gun is an inanimate object. Don't we need more nut control?
What would the Founders have made of the country they helped create? Les Standiford, author of Desperate Sons: Samuel Adams, Patrick Henry, John Hancock, and the Secret Bands of Radicals Who Led the Colonies to War will join us to talk about the Sons of Liberty, the secret society determined to impose change on what were the Colonies.
