Join Teresa Maron and co-host Lauren Santerre for the stories of Brigid’s Place, as God transforms the hearts, minds, and lives of women today. These stories celebrate Creative and Abundant Living for all religion, community and forms of spirituality. The Gem of The Day is Compassion.
Our Guest today is Betty Conrad Adam, a native Houstonian, who has served at the Cathedral since 1992, currently as Resident Canon Theologian and Spiritual Director of Brigid’s Place.
Betty discusses her labor of love, Easter in Memory of Her, an original play that she co-wrote with April Deconick. This original script celebrates and remembers the women who followed Jesus to Jerusalem and stood beside him, enduring the sorrow of the cross.
Featuring original music from Sonia Bruzauskas and Becky Baxter of the Houston Chamber Choir, it's been called, “An innovative musical performance!”
We are inspired anew to celebrate women’s voices at the Cross, to experience the Cross together with those beloved women, and to gain a deeper understanding of our own Lenten journey. This program featuring women’s voices is original and unique in emphasizing women’s grief, suffering, and unwavering devotion.
Join Us April 4, at 4:00pm, with a reception with the stars of the performance immediately after.
