Ancient Myths and the Bible goes on to show that the bible was written during a time where people thought differently. Their world view was based upon magic, demons and gods. Characters like Apollyon are given, which if not understood from the ancient pagan descriptions could easily be misinterpreted. The church of God has lost the meaning of these characters. The powers that be have purposefully removed these ideas from our minds by calling them myth. Many of the stories in the scriptures have a mythological counterpart, and these counterparts shed light on the biblical illustrations.
