BRCA, four letters that represent big words and a huge battle.  Jennifer Gooch has made her experience with hereditary breast and ovarian cancer or BRCA genetic mutation, her life's mission to educate and encourage others stricken with the medical challenge.

We highlight Cancer Awareness Month with this episode focused on issues surrounding breast and ovarian cancer accented with wonderful stories of survival. Jennifer will share how she became aware that she was positive for this mutation, and the steps I took after my diagnosis. Last, I will share, her journey since discovering her genetic status and the Empowerment she has gained to tenaciously remain positive and impactful in the lives of others.

A mother of four children, Jennifer is the Outreach Coordinator for Savannah FORCE-facing our risk of cancer Empowered,  a non–profit organization that reaches out to those who have tested positive for hereditary breast and ovarian cancer syndrome or BRCA genetic mutation.
