Charlena Browns spends her days nurturing the dreams of people who want to start businesses that range from restaurants to technology companies.

Her 20-plus years of starting businesses has helped to plant the seeds of expert advice about grassroots start-ups that has fueled successful enterprises like Savannah Movie Tours, Gents Formal Wear and One Love Jamaican restaurant, as well as many others.

As Program Manager of the Savannah Entrepreneurial Center (SEC), she and husband Charlie Brown, overseeing programming, review business plans, market the Center's services and host an annual celebration to acknowledge the accomplishments of new and existing business owners that come through the facility. On Sat., Aug. 20, 2011, SEC will continues its traditional and host the annual awards dinner.
