As the Masters draws near beginning April 6th to crowd the streets of Augusta, GA, Debert Cook, publisher of African American Golfer’s Digest, will address the growing interests amongst Blacks to play the game but declining representation of professional African American golfers on the circuit in tournaments like the PGA. • Nearly 10 years ago, Cook launched the African American Golfer’s Digest as a nationally distributed publication. It is the only print publication of its kind in the U.S., the magazine is subscription based with controlled circulation of over 80,000 readers each quarter and added distribution to over 250 African American-focused golf events around the country. • Debert will also discuss how golf impacts business and what she sees as opportunities in the future.
