She was born in San Diego, CA to parents belonging to the Nation of Islam. She was raised in Alexandria, VA and educated through their public school system. She struggled academically but graduated from T.C Williams H.S. Simultaneously, she was being educated in the world being raised by a single mother of four, during the introduction of crack in urban neighborhoods. She received her B.A in Sociology/Social Work from Elizabeth City State University. With a purpose and passion in life to have an impact upon the spiritual, social, and economic conditions that impact the human family at this point in history. Nisa Harper has facilitated numerous workshops and conferences in rural and urban communities. Nisa Harper emerged from her childhood as a deeply wounded young woman. Yet it was through her challenging moments that she came to know the miraculous power of self-worth, self-control and self- determination. Nisa Harper has inspired people sharing her breakthrough methods for personal fulfillment and professional success. She delivers seminars on self-esteem, self-empowerment and peak performance to church groups, professional and non-profit organizations and associations.
