Join us on the Teen Talk Radio Show, our special guest Tarik Wright was musically inclined since age three. At the age of four he used to perform at birthday parties singing all of Lil’ Bow Wow and B2K songs for the family. With the support of his family and their confidence in his talents, his father sent a copy of his performance to the Showtime at the Apollo for an audition. Three weeks later he performed his first big live performance for “It’s Showtime at the Apollo” at Landmark Mall. Coming from such a young boy, the audience was so energized and surprised with his style, stellar performance and stage presence. Ultimately he came in second place and received various gift certificates from McDonald’s and Sears along with a free photo shoot with The Picture People. From that showcase he landed three gigs from local promoters in the area. Now Tarik a.k.a. Young Motive is old enough and ready to entertain and influence his peers with his talents. He has been able to experience a great opportunity to learn basics in singing and acting with SNT Talent Agency which propelled and ignited him further to becoming a Rising Star. Tarik has performed in various stage plays. “Scrooge” where he played the companion of Scrooge, a Black History Production called “We Are The Choices We Make”, featured as Martin Luther King and during intermission he was able to perform his first recorded song “Die So Young.” At a Motown Talent Showcase he was able to select his Motown favorite which was “Dance Machine” by The Jackson 5. at Baltimore Apollo 2009 and FirstIn June 2009, he performed for Nike and Lebron James on the More than a Game Tour in Washington, DC. Some of his accomplishments include winning the Best Performance at Baltimore Apollo 2009 and First Place Winner at the Millennium Talent Search 2010 in Washington, DC. All of his performances are captivating and aweinspiring sure to leave you with a sense of renewed inspiration; knowledge from a young mindset.
