Miss Virginia's Outstanding Teen, Courtney Garrett, will be joining us to talk about how she's making a difference by promoting C.A.R.E. -- Communication and Respect for Everyone (Handicapped Individuals). By visiting schools, county boards, and community involvement, Courtney hopes to influence teens to communicate, understand and respect everyone by encouraging sign language programs throughout America's schools. She says "this is an opportunity for us all to be the voice for those who cannot speak, the legs for those who cannot walk, the ears for those who canot hear, and the hands for those who cannot reach. Let this be the ultimate chance for us all to begin C.A.R.E." Courtney was a top ten finalist at the Miss America's Outstanding Teen Competition, she's fluent in sign language and has many other accomplishments and scholastic honors.
