The final season of Cirque’s Wintuk is here! Whether you are a fan of the previous Cirque du Soleil’s show or have never seen one in your life, Wintuk is definitely a show you don’t want to miss this holiday season. This show is all about how a boy, Jamie, who is from the city and is experiencing cold weather, ice but most of all not the ultimate winter gift, snow! He then decides to be the one to figure out why it hasn’t snowed yet. During Jamie’s adventure he is accompanied by a lost Shaman, a young girl and a shy man, Wimpy and they interact with various characters. I was lucky enough to get four tickets to go on opening night to this event at Madison Square Garden. I took my mom and my two brothers with me. This is such family oriented event so everyone all ages will enjoy the shows creativity and crazy antics. Out of the entire Cirque Shows, and I’ve been to three, and I have to say this one was my favorite. There were so many flips and things occurring at once where you always had to keep your eye open and you didn’t know what to expect next. And I did not expect the surprise at the end either!!! The surprise is… well, you’re just going to have to go to the show and find out yourself. Trust me, it’s worth it!
I have to say that I am going to have to go back again before its final performance on January 2, 2011. This show is definitely one to take the whole family to during the holiday/winter season. Winter break is going to be coming around faster than everyone expects so I highly suggest that during this time you go buy tickets for the show and have a fun night out in the city as well with the whole family and or friends. This is a show that you will have memories for a life time with. It’s “A winter adventure that takes the whole family by storm.” ~ Cirque.
