The Woodlands Talk  

The Woodlands and surrounding communities now have a radio show. It is a way for residents to connect with one another. It is a way for us to feature some of the leaders of the community and give them a venue for sharing their message. We want the show to be valuable and intelligent - informative and entertaining. Kathi Frank, host of The Woodlands Talk, is a real estate agent. But there is nothing typical about the way she approaches serving her clients. As a life coach and author, her goal is to serve home owners, and those purchasing homes, with incredible honesty and focus on their individual needs.     The Montgomery County Fair & Rodeo

    Pat Davis, Chairman of the Montgomery County Fair and Rodeo spent most of an hour with us explaining all the different aspects of the fair that opens tomorrow and goes through Sunday night, April 5th.

    There is a whole lot to enjoy, so take the time to listen to the show or go to their website: www.MCFA.org to learn all the specifics.

    Here are a few of the facts: The first weekend is "Family Days" with the PRCA Rodeo both Friday and Saturday nights.  Sunday, March 29th is the Ranch Rodeo featuring local cowboys.  Monday through Thursday nights there is no admission charge.  Each day includes all sorts of activities from the Auction Sale to open Exhibit Buildings, dancing in the Horseshoe Club and carnival attractions. 

    The BBQ Cookoff follows on the 2nd weekend with shuttle buses (FREE) from both Sam's and the Conroe Outlet Mall.  The last Sunday is El Dia De La Familia Hispana and the bands will be Carlos Y Jose, Libercion, & Falcon.

    There is something for everyone.  Don't miss it!!!

    Montgomery County Fair & Rodeo begins March 27th

    This show will introduce listeners to a long-standing staple of Montgomery County's culture. The Fair and Rodeo includes a wide range of activities, with more than 600 volunteers donating their time to benefit youth of the county. This is no small event. Last year, the 2008 Grand Champion Steer was purchased for $28,000. The money that goes to our young people rivals the amount in some state fairs. Come hear what Pat Davis has to say about this event and participate with your questions on the chat room or call to the live broadcast.

As the time approaches where The Woodlands will no longer be part of the Extra-Territorial Jurisdiction (ETJ) of Conroe and Houston, the questions are building.     Relax for Success in the Recessed Economy

    Kathryn Watson shared some outstanding tools for success in today's program.  "10 Things you MUST do in a Recessed Economy" was the perfect title for today's show.  She offered ideas of how to begin your day by dressing your intentions with success.

    Also included were tips on how to work smarter, not harder; developing strategic alliances; being open to the opportunities; and cloning your best clients.  If our listeners learn anything at all about today's show, the final tip could sum it all up, "Change your attitude - It's your Choice".  If we can get out of the mindset of the victim, we will find the world is still a great place to be.
