Welcome to Episode 5 of Tea at Trianon Radio, dedicated to discussing the life and times of Marie-Antoinette, Queen of France and Navarre. I am Elena Maria Vidal, the author of four historical novels, including TRIANON and MADAME ROYALE which are about Marie-Antoinette and her family. In this our fifth broadcast we will be talking about the Catholic faith of Marie-Antoinette. In her last letter the Queen said that the Catholic religion was the one which she had always believed and practiced, but like many people she had a faith journey in which her relationship with God grew and matured. Although faith is a private matter there is much we can learn from and about Marie-Antoinette and how her faith strengthened her in difficult times. We will not be taking calls today but do email me a question or a comment at emvidal@planetrussell.net. And what are the 3 rules? Be polite, be polite, be polite.
Tea at Trianon Radio is brought to you by Mayapple Books in St. Michaels, Maryland, dedicated to publishing Modern Classics. Visit Mayapple Books at www.mayapplebooks.net.
