What do these things have in common? They're just a few examples of the many hundreds of things that your parents controlled for you when you were a child. As a kid, you didn't have a say in very much that went on; your parents made decisions about everything from the cereal you ate in the morning to the pajamas you wore at night. But eventually, you grew up and became a teen. And part of being a teen is developing your own identity — one that is separate from your parents'. But as you change and grow into this new person who makes his or her own decisions, your parents may have a difficult time adjusting, which can cause a lot of fighting between teens and parents. This Thursday, we'll be talking about why parents and teens don’t see eye to eye and providing tips on how teens can communicate with their parents better.     The current generation of teens have proven to be a very open-minded and color blind group. Interracial dating is much more accepted now than it has been in the past. However, some teens who choose to date outside of their race are facing backlash and a lack of support from their elders, mainly their parents.
