Aaron Calafato - "For Profit" Student Debt Theater

For many college students, the thrill of graduation day is dulled all to soon by the first payment made on a mountain of debt. Talkupy with Annie Lindstrom welcomes performing artist Aaron Calafato to the show on Tuesday, May 14 at 11 am Eastern Time. Aaron's solo theater piece, For Profit, is an inside look at the for-profit educational industry. While working as an admissions counselor at a for-profit college, Aaron became increasingly conflicted as he was pressured to sign up poorly prepared students for expensive degree programs that would leave them deeply in debt. Sadly, it was all so he could  pay off his own student loans. For Profit debuted in NYC in March 2012, after which  Aaron embarked on a multi-city tour.
