There are more artists per capita in Haiti than anywhere else in the world. Helping them excel in their genre is critical to overcoming the country's social justice and poverty issues. Talkupy with Annie Lindstrom welcomes David Belle, CEO of Artists for Peace and Justice (APJ) to the show on Monday, April 15 at 12 pm Eastern Time. We will discuss APJ's goals to serve the poorest communities in Haiti  with programs dedicated to their education, healthcare and dignity. APJ works with partners including the Cine Institute to provide a free college for art and technology in the city of Jacmel. It is helping young people grow, learn and find employment in local creative industries despite enormous hardship inflicted by the 2010 earthquake.
