Sometimes you just have to get in there and show the politicians how it's done. Helping to create a win-win situation can, and has been done in St. Petersburg, FL. Talkupy with Annie Lindstrom welcomes Christian Haas, a community organizer with Awake Pinellas to the show on Tuesday, March 5 at 11 a.m. Eastern Time. Christian will discuss how he and some other organizers performed a Peoples' Budget Review of the St. Pete's  budget and helped the City Council take a more economically healthy path  than was originally planned. We will also discuss today's Free The Vote, a statewide day of action in which the people are standing against voter suppression laws and demanding that no voter be denied the right to vote.
