Believing the Rainbow Snake had been prematurely declared extinct in south Florida, the Center for Snake Conservation headed up an expedition to the shores of the Fisheating Creek in December. Talkupy with Annie Lindstrom welcomes Cameron Young, Founder & Executive of the CSC to the show on Tuesday, January 8 at 11 a.m. ET to discuss the results of the week-long search. We'll also discuss the hidden biodiversity of snakes and the methods the CSC used to try to find and humanely trap snakes during the trip. They are not as easy to observe as birds or mammals and therefore less appreciated, even hated. The CSC is working to change how people perceive these beneficial animals.
