Now might be the perfect time for you or someone you know to experience Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms (a.k.a. WWOOFing). Talkupy with Annie Lindstrom welcomes Tori Degen of WWOOF-USA to the show Thursday, August 2 at 11 a.m. Eastern Time. WWOOFers work voluntarily on organic farmers across the U.S. In return they receive education, culture, a place to sleep and lots of yummy organic food to eat. WWOOFers help farmers grow vegetables, keep bees, build straw bale houses, work with animals, make wine, and much more. WWOOF-USA matches its WWOOFer members with more than 1,600 member farms in all 50 states, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. The program is open to anyone 18 years old and up regardless of experience. For more information go to www.wwoofusa.org.
It's good to talk.
