On Thursday, February 20, the Georgia House of Representatives took up four measures relating to an Article V convention focused on amending the United States Constitution.

Among the measures approved was Senate Resolution 731, which was passed by the Georgia Senate last year seeking a Convention of States focused on enacting a federal balanced budget amendment.

We encourage those who favor and those who oppose an Article V convention to here how the debate played out in the Georgia House.

Only brief editing has been done to shorten gaps between speakers, even this was kept to a minimum, and only done to fit our program window. The discussion opens with comments from Rep. Rich Golick, R-Symrna.
