Many details remained under wraps as the plan was debuted, but Republican elites like Paul Ryan and John Boehner are hard at work trying to sell us on the value of a budget deal with the Democrats that, according to the Washington Times, spends about three times more than any cuts it may provide.

It's a bipartisan plan alright. One that again kicks the can, and tries to keep the false appearance of American normalcy alive through the November 2014 elections. The deal appears designed primarily to benefit congressional incumbants seeking reelection next year - and the rest of us get stuck with the tab.

We'll dig into this budget game on Friday's Don and Doug, and assess some other grim warning signs for 2014.

Any good news? Don went to a gun show last weekend. And what he saw provides a few positives for us to discuss this week. But there's a negative or two in that mix as well.

Join us as we connect the dots in perilous times on the December 13trh Don and Doug program.  Start time 1 o'clock Eastern here on BlogTalkRadio.
