Mother Earth is the source for our survival and she is being poisoned daily. Large corporations have played a major part in causing the environmental catastrophes that we hear about and can see every day. We as consumers have to realize that we too have been responsible for some of the destruction. Kandi Mossett is our special guest. She is a young woman who has been on the front lines organizing, protesting, standing up and speaking out about these environmental issues. She has traveled around the world to major international gatherings and forums getting the message out. Kandi Mossett, an enrolled member of the Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nations located on the Fort Berthold Reservation within the state of North Dakota, graduated from the University of North Dakota's Earth Systems Science and Policy Program in December of 2006 and now holds a Masters degree in Environmental Management. She has been the Indigenous Environmental Network's Tribal Campus Climate Challenge (TCCC) Organizer since February 2007. Join us in the discussion as we look at the problems that we are all facing and talk about some of the solutions. It is up to us to respect, honor and stand up for Mother Earth because it's about life and the future for the seven generations to come.
