Power Couple Eddie and Shimika Kennison Talk Entrepreneurship

Serial entrepreneurs Shimika and Eddie Kennison (the Chiefs wide receiver legend!) join host Kelly Scanlon to discuss how this Kansas City power couple keeps all the balls of multiple businesses and a family in the air. Plus, they’ll discuss their passion for and support of The Eddie Kennison Foundation for lupus research. 

Eddie is the former star wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs and is now the owner of Cellar and Loft, a wine bar and restaurant. He's also trotting out his old jersey number for an online culinary venture called Barrel 87. The on-line series  pairs food with unique wines. On each episode, Eddie will be joined by some of his ex-NFL teammates, celebrity chefs to bring viewers great recipes from around the world.

Shimika is a hair, makeup and beauty expert who has parlayed her talents into becoming a serial entrepreneur. She opened and operated Entourage Institute of Beauty, which was later acquired by a larger firm. In 2011, she launched her skincare line EmpowerMe and is getting ready to launch yet another line.

Her talents have been showcased in People Magazine, CBS Survivor Guatemala Finale, the Regis & Kelly Show, Tony Danza Show, The CBS Morning Show and Miss USA.

Both Eddie and Shimika are actively involved in running and supporting The Eddie Kennison Foundation as well.
